New EIDD President
At the 2007 EIDD Annual General Meeting in Milan Pete Kercher retired after four successful years as President of EIDD - Design for All Europe. Finn Petrén from Sweden was elected new President. Pete Kercher stays on the Board of Directors with a special responsibility for external relations (Ambassador).
The new President is a founder member and since 2004 chairman of the Swedish National Member Organisation EIDD Sverige. He is also Project Manager of a national project and campaign (2005-2008) called DESIGN FÖR ALLA.SE.
As a Managing Director Finn Petrén was responsible for building and developing the Nordic cooperation on disability policies under the Nordic Council of Ministers 1980-2004. He was also the founder and managing editor of Form&Funktion, a Nordic Design for All magazine with six issues 2002-2004.
On the European level he has been a member of several expert groups under the European Commission 1985-2004, including the European Experts Group on Accessibility in 2004. He is also a founder member of the ECA network. He became a member of the EIDD Board of Directors in 2001 and Vice-President in 2003.
